Wayne Smith – Camelot Workshop Manager

Wayne joined the Camelot Team over 20 years ago, so it’s safe to say that he understands the running of the workshop inside out! Wayne started out in our framing department where he did a long stint before moving to dispatch. When the opportunity came to take on the role of Workshop Manager, Wayne’s organisational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines became invaluable.

Wayne is an integral part of the team – especially when it’s trade show time! Wayne is the man who organises for all the samples to be made, gets them loaded onto a van bright and early, drives to the show and then he gets to work erecting the show stand and hanging the pictures. We give him a rest for a few days before he and the rest of the team head back to break down the stand, pack up and drive back. This can mean early starts and late finishes, but Wayne isn’t scared of hard work and has been doing this for years!

Wayne oversees all aspects of the workshop – prints, mounts, framing, glass, assembly and dispatch – and is the person who ensures that all orders are handled as quickly as possible and delivered in a timely fashion, in perfect condition. His eye for detail and strong work ethic are valued by all of us here at Camelot. If you want something doing quickly – just ask Wayne!
