We’re absolutely delighted to introduce one of our new artists for 2023!
Diane Demirci qualified as a graphic designer in 1985 and then worked in Design and Advertising for twenty years, now painting full time, creating things has been a part of Diane’s life for over 38 years.
Inspired by a love of all things green and having been fortunate enough to relocate to the beautiful South West (Devon), the texture and shapes of both the sea and the landscape are an endless source of painting inspiration for Diane. She believes the most beautiful things can often be found in the most unlikely of places – from the roadside to waste ground.
The end result for Diane when painting an image is to hopefully create something that is ‘interesting’, that is simply a pleasure to look at and lets you find a new little detail the more you look into the image.
When looking at Diane’s artwork, we think it’s safe to say that she has certainly achieved that! Take a look at Sorbet Meadow below…the more you look, the more intricate details reveal themselves.
To draw out these details in Diane’s artwork, some pieces have been very delicately hand embellished helping to make these pieces of artwork even more stunning and detailed.
